Who we are
Rivendell Films is a full-service production company and creative agency founded by Constantine Nasr. We are dedicated to producing high quality non-fiction films on entertainment, pop culture, history, and more. We partner with top studio talent and prolific filmmakers to bring their stories to audiences through documentaries, theatrical and social content, and creative original storytelling.
Constantine Nasr began his career in 1998 working with writer/director Frank Darabont on The Green Mile. He was one of the earliest on-set documentarians, and his work on the Oscar-nominated film launched a career committed to telling the authentic stories about artists and artistry in cinema.
For the last 25 years, Constantine has been producing and directing long and short form documentaries for television and home entertainment releases of new features, classic cinema, animation and television. He has worked closely with filmmakers like Michael Mann, Tim Burton, Zack Snyder, Terry Gilliam, Mel Brooks, Andy Muschietti and Ryan Coogler. Constantine has produced documentaries on classic movies as diverse as The Dirty Dozen, Shaft, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Richard Donner’s Superman, Michael Mann’s Heat, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Double Indemnity and Frankenstein (1931). He has made biographical feature docs on filmmakers like Val Lewton, Max Fleischer, Mel Blanc, Rankin/Bass, and the Marx Brothers. His award-winning longform documentaries include The Manhunt for Whitey Bulger, Public Enemies: The Golden Age of the Gangster Film, Warner at War, 1939: Hollywood’s Golden Age, and The First Motion Picture Unit: When Hollywood Went to War. He produced the Emmy-nominated Mel Brooks Live at the Geffen for HBO and is currently in production on the true crime documentary Texas vs. Davis, the murder saga based on the bestselling book by Mike Cochran.
